Attivista per i diritti delle donne è autrice di numerosi libri, tra cui Woe to the Women: The Bible Tells Me So, Betrayal of Trust: Clergy Abuse of Children and, as editor, Women Without Superstition: No Gods – No Masters.

Co-fondatrice e attuale co-presidente (con il marito Dan Baker) della – Freedom From Religion Foundation.
